History Week is an initiative of the History Council of NSW. The theme for 2016 is Neighbours.
There will be an open day at the Braidwood Museum on Saturday 3 September 11am-2pm. Come along for a behind the scenes look at the musty old archive room.
The Local History and Heritage Network meeting will be held in the library on Thursday 8 September 5.30-7.30pm. Guest speaker and local author Graeme Barrow will speak about his latest book 'God's architect: the churches and parsonages of Alberto Soares', followed by supper. Queanbeyan Museum will also have an open day on Saturday 17 September 11am-3pm which will include the exhibition launch of 'A Good Neighbour' A celebration of the life of Harry Hesse'.
