Multicultural Festival -  CARNIVALE !

Carnivale 2011

Queanbeyan is one of the most culturally diverse cities in regional Australia. It is home to the traditional Aboriginal peoples, to successive waves of migrants from the UK and Europe, and more recent arrivals from Asia and Africa. Carnivale is a celebration of the City's cultural diversity and harmony.

Join in the festivities in the glorious Queanbeyan Park on Lowe Street and revel in the dance and performance spectacular that is Carnivale! Last year over 20 groups performed on the park's stage with many groups preparing tasty cultural fare to tempt the taste buds. Each year, indulge in a variety of cuisine from around the world. There will be plenty to keep the whole family entertained with a farm animal patting paddock, jumping castle, face painting, craft activities and Navy and Fire Brigade displays. Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council is proud to partner with Queanbeyan Multilingual Centre in presenting this wonderful community cultural event.
