Information in community languages
Books , DVDs and music CDs are available in the major community languages of Croatian, Greek, Italian, Macedonian and Serbian with smaller collections in French, German, Polish and Spanish. Newspapers and magazines are also available in some community languages.
Books in other community languages are obtained from the State Library on request and include the languages of Hindi, Bahasa Indonesian, Punjabi, Russian, Bengali, Korean, Romanian, Chinese, Gujarati and Japanese.
The library has a staff member who speaks a number of community languages and can provide assistance to people seeking information about Library services.
